Welcome to Big Country Guide Training, A professional training course designed to inform and educate anyone looking to break into the hunting or guiding industry. We are based in the North Chilcotin region of British Columbia, 45 km west of Quesnel. Our ranch is ideally located on the shores of Hidden Lake, with miles of trails for riding and hiking. We deliver a horse-based, hands-on guiding course that ensures graduates are educated in all aspects of the hunting and guiding industry. This is not an adventure holiday…..this is the real deal, students can expect partial classroom setting mixed with time outside and field time. Each course has a limited number of bookings, further ensuring the highest quality training. There is a lot of information that will be covered in a relatively short amount of time, we encourage everyone to help one another and spend time honing their new skills. Classes typically run into the late afternoon, depending on the days activities. We are a family based outfit and we want all those joining us to know that you will be considered kin. The package is complete, and included is food, accommodations, and instruction….there are no hidden costs. The bottom line is that there simply is not another course just like this one. Our goal is to help give the basic skills required to become a super guide. Feel free to contact us further if you have any questions.
